Local Experience: It is a very calm place located away from the clatter of crowded cities. The name Benaulim has a history. According to the mythology, Lord Parashurama shot an arrow from the Sahyadri mountains in Konkan; the arrow landed here. An arrow is called Baan in Hindi hence this town is called Banahalli or Banavali.
